After years of helping local residents and businesses navigate technology challenges, Wangaratta's Peter Siperki is expanding his focus beyond traditional IT support to help build digital confidence across the region.
Peter established Oxley Computers to provide professional IT services throughout Wangaratta, North East Victoria and Southern NSW. What started with residential computer repairs has grown into a business supporting homes, farms, community organisations and businesses with everything from networking and cybersecurity to cloud services and technical support.
In 2026, Peter launched CountryTech Solutions, creating a platform to expand the services available to regional communities and respond to the growing demand for technology support and digital skills development.
"Technology is becoming a bigger part of everyday life, but many people still feel left behind or overwhelmed by it," Peter said.
As part of the business's next phase of growth, Peter is expanding into digital education and training, with plans to deliver practical technology support for residents, community groups and businesses across the region.
The new services will focus on helping people build confidence using technology, understand online safety and make the most of the digital tools available to them. For businesses, this could include support during software and hardware rollouts, staff training and assistance managing technology transitions.
Peter's own career path has helped shape this approach. After working in hospitality management, he developed a passion for IT and went on to work in local government, where he gained experience supporting a broad range of technologies, systems and projects while working at Indigo Shire Council.
Now based in Wangaratta, Peter remains passionate about supporting the local community and helping people get the most from technology.
To further strengthen his training capabilities, Peter will soon commence a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, supporting his goal of delivering practical digital education throughout the region.
